For one, it's actually about little girls, not big grown-up princesses, so it seems more appropriate for little girls to read. Two, it's not preachy or anything, just a story about a pretty princess and some little fairies. It's a version of sleeping beauty, but without the handsome prince, and the girls are dressed fancy. My little girl loves it. One good princess book is Princess, Princess. For one, it’s actually about little girls, not big grown-up princesses, so it seems more appropriate for little girls to read.
